U.S. President Donald Trump has warned Iran of further military action after a major airstrike destroyed one of the country’s largest bridges on April 2, 2026. The targeted structure, linking Tehran and Karaj, was a critical transport route and suffered heavy damage after being hit multiple times.
According to Iranian state media, at least 8 people were killed and around 95 others injured in the attack. U.S. officials claimed the bridge was being used to move missile and drone components, making it a strategic target aimed at disrupting Iran’s military logistics.
Following the strike, Trump said that “much more” action could follow if Tehran does not agree to a deal, signaling a potential escalation in the ongoing conflict.
Iran strongly condemned the attack and warned of further retaliation, stating that such strikes would not weaken its position. The incident comes amid intensifying hostilities in the region, with rising casualties and growing concerns about a wider war and its impact on global oil markets.
